He was born Saturday, August 29, 1970 to the late Robert E. McKinney, Sr. and the late Ruth Ann (Kirkman) McKinney in Bloomington.
Rick worked as an HVAC technician for his son at Luxury Air. He was an avid outdoor recreational guy who loved watching his sons race dirt bikes. Rick loved camping, driving trucks and tractors, and anything else outside. He was first and foremost a family man who loved his wife and kids dearly but especially cherished his grandson, Ryder.
He is survived by his wife, Traci (Utter) McKinney who he married June 27, 1992; sons, RJ McKinney and wife Taylor and Rudee McKinney; sister, Robin Cunningham; grandson, Ryder McKinney.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Robert and Ruth Ann; brothers, Robert Eugene "Bob" McKinney Jr. and Randall D. McKinney.
Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 at Costin Funeral Chapel, Inc. Services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery.
