It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard (Rick) Edwin Pearson on November 11, 2024, at the age of 71. Rick was born on July 1, 1953, in Jamestown, N.Y., where he was a lifelong resident. On December 18, 1975, Richard and Nealey (Walters) Pearson were married and later had two children, Erin and Eric Pearson. Rick graduated from Southwestern High School in 1971. He was a Salesman for Sysco and Kotok & Heims, and a Food Broker for C.C. Dunham, where he spent many years bringing smiles to our local restaurant community with his famous storytelling. Rick was an avid hunter, loved all dogs, and being a part of the music community. He spent many years involved with Infinity Visual and Performing Arts. He filled our home with singing and playing, usually the Beatles, on our family piano. These memories will be treasured by all of us. Preceded in death by his father, Thure Pearson, 1963, his mother, Josephine (Yachetta) Pearson, 1993, and his sister Ann (Pearson) Hallquist, 2012. Richard is survived by his wife, Nealey J. (Walters) Pearson of Jamestown, NY, his daughter Erin (Jack) Harnas of Warren, Pa. His son, Eric Pearson of Jamestown, NY. Also, his Grandchildren Brooke and Drake Harnas of Warren, Pa. and Nephew, Todd Hallquist (Tilor, Trevor and Charlotte-Great Nieces and Great Nephew) of Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make any donations to the Chautauqua County Humane Society 2825 Strunk Road Jamestown, NY 14701. There will be no funeral service per the deceased's request. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
