Rickey Dean Armstrong Sr.

Rickey Dean Armstrong, Sr., 67, passed to his heavenly home on September 1, 2025 in Granbury, Texas. Rickey was born January 31, 1958 to Henry Dean Armstrong and Bettie Jean Burgi in Dallas, Texas. Rickey was married to Jeanette Armstrong. Rickey grew up in Arlington, Texas.
Rickey had a love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles – you could always find him riding in the wind. He also loved camping and swimming. He loved the outdoors!
Rickey was a very skilled welder for many years and the family treasures the small keepsakes he made for them through the years.
Rickey is survived by his wife, Jeanette Armstrong, daughter, Shona Michael and husband Scott; daughter, Stephanie Skipper and husband Aaron; son, Rickey Armstrong and wife Lisa. He was also blessed with three bonus children: Crystal Chatman and husband Eric, Rowdy Ives, Taylor Ives and wife Staci. He had 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, sister, Dana Gable and husband Danny, bonus brother, Grady McElyea and wife Sarah, numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Vine Family Fellowship Church, 5229 Kelly Elliot Rd., Arlington, Texas, 76017, beginning at 11:00 AM.
His laid-back, goofy personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
