Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Norma Umbarger.
He was retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service. Rick was also a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Rick is survived by his wife, Linda Umbarger; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Randall Hawn of Lancing, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Dawn Umbarger of Orlando, FL, and Chad and Dana Umbarger of Dallas, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Kay Umbarger of Bull Head City, AZ; grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, Kelly, Zackary, Cody, Hannah, Kayleigh, Ethan, and Eliza; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Cainen, Jaden, Ethan, Jacob, Malorie, Tasia, Daylen, and Jasmine; and great-great-grandchild coming June 2025.
A graveside service will be held at Dawnrest Cemetery on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 1:30 PM, with Pastor Darey Kittle officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Burial will follow in Dawnrest Cemetery.
