In Loving Memory of Ricky Dee Bolden
Ricky, a beloved husband, father, grandaddy and friend passed away on July 2, 2024, at the age of 62. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
Born on December 13, 1961, Ricky grew up in Nashville, where he developed a deep appreciation for family values and a strong work ethic. He carried these principles with him throughout his life, becoming an exceptional role model for his loved ones.
Ricky married Sandra Robinson Bolden in 1985. They had an amazing almost 40 years of marriage.
As a father, Ricky was a pillar of strength, providing guidance and love to his sons. He instilled in them the importance of integrity and perseverance.
But it was as a Granddaddy that Ricky truly radiated joy. His love for his grandchildren knew no bounds, and he cherished time spent with them. Through playful moments, he created memories that will forever be treasured. He was their biggest fan, attending their performances, sporting events, and milestones, always beaming with pride.
He spent his adult life working to build his business, B&B Truck Parts and Service, which he started in 1986 with his cousin Tommy Beasley. Ricky proudly worked alongside both of his sons.
Ricky had a passion for racing and his enthusiasm was contagious. He raced from 1988 until 2007 when he hung up his drivers suit and took the role as crew chief for Daniel and Michael. Racing brought him immense joy and fulfillment. His dedication and talent in these areas were admired by all who were around him.
Ricky was known for his big smile and his willingness to lend a helping hand. He touched the lives of many through his acts of kindness and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ricky will be dearly missed by his loving family, including his wife Sandra, 2 children Daniel (Samantha) and Michael (Cailin), and 4 grandchildren, Bentley, Maverick, Anderson, and Bennett. His memory will forever be cherished by his friends and all those whose lives he touched. As we mourn the loss of Ricky, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he led and the profound impact he made on the lives of those around him. May his spirit live on in the memories we shared. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Shelby Bolden.
Visitation for Ricky will be Friday, July 5, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM. At Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road followed by services at 2:00 PM.
Forever in our hearts.
