Ricky Feathers

Ricky Hunter Feathers, 29, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. Hunter was born ready to go. He never crawled; he chose to run first instead. He rode a bike without training wheels for the first time at 2 years old and water-skied at 3. And in true "Hunter" fashion, he left this world way too early to go home to God.

Hunter was born on August 27, 1996, to Angela Justice Fox in Memphis, TN. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help (O.L.P.H.), Richland Elementary, White Station Middle School, and Ridgeway High School before moving to North Mississippi and attending Horn Lake High School. He was baptized at O.L.P.H., received his First Communion at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and confirmed at Church of the Holy Spirit.

Hunter was athletic, playing baseball, soccer, and football. He also loved to skateboard and would try anything, often more than once. Hunter loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was never as happy as when he had a fishing pole in his hand. He was a gifted musician who could play the piano and the guitar by ear. He would regale us with music by his favorites: John Denver, Alan Jackson, & Vince Gill. He was the kindest soul, never meeting a stranger and always giving them the shirt off his back. He was also the sweetest child, the first to say, "Be careful; Stay safe; and I love you!"

He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Wallace Feathers, and his paternal grandparents, Charlie & Rosemary Feathers. He leaves his mother, Angela Justice Fox; his sister, Heart Feathers; his brother, Henry Fox; and his maternal grandparents, David and Sherrie Justice.

His family asks that you honor his memory by living life to the fullest, hugging your loved ones more, and helping those you can.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Friday, February 13th, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, Parks, and Marine (MWFPM) Foundation at https://foundationmwfp.com/donations/, to honor his love of nature and the outdoors.
