Mark Keeney Obituary

Mark Keeney passed away on February 1, 2026, following a lengthy illness. He was born on September 17, 1958, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Merna and Don Keeney.

Mark graduated from Ridgeway High School and went on to attend Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis). He spent many years working in the electrical contracting industry, most recently with Electri-Com, where he remained until his retirement.

Mark was a loyal friend with a generous heart and meant a great deal to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Keeney.

He is survived by his mother, Merna Keeney; his sister, Karen Clark (Ramsay); his brother, Mike Keeney (Anne); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Michael and Allie Clark, and Irene and Adele Keeney.

Mark was a devoted member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Merna Keeney Room in the Inn fund at Emmanuel United Methodist Church (https://www.emmanuelmemphis.org/missions-and-outreach/room-in-the-inn) 2404 Kirby Rd, Memphis, TN 38119 or the charity of the donor's choice.

The family will gather for a private service at a later time.
