Mr. Ricky Gusse, age 68, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born on February 19, 1957, the beloved son of Richard Gusse and Shirley Constant Delger.
Ricky was a dedicated and hardworking man, proudly serving as a master-certified emergency vehicle technician and receiving certification with the Ford Factory. He took great pride in his career. He dedicated many years with the Civil Service at Fort Knox and Fort Campbell. He retired from Cumberland International, LLC. Ricky was dedicated to his community, serving as Captain with the Indian Mound Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders for many years. Beyond his professional work, Ricky enjoyed spending time in his garage, working on vehicles simply for the joy of it. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent making precious memories with them.
He devoted his life’s work to supporting and loving his family. Ricky was a devoted husband, father, PawPaw, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Richard Gusse and mother, Shirley Delger.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Darlene Gusse; his children, Ricky Joseph Gusse, Jr. (Brandi), Katherine Mary Gusse, and Teresa Ann Gusse Miller (Jason); his grandchildren, Kaden Charlie McDonald and Luna Crystal Miller; and his siblings, Sheryl Peyton, John Delger, Julie Delger and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In accordance with Ricky’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Anglin Funeral Home with Fr. Aby officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and will continue until the time of service.
