Elizabeth “Liz” Joan Gusse 85 of Bainbridge, OH passed on to her heavenly home, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from Legacy of Chillicothe. She was born Monday, January 17, 1938, in Riverside, CA to the late Donald R. and Elizabeth E. (Schappals) Hagen.
Liz is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Gusse; daughters Laura (Jerry) Widmayer and Paula Toenniges; son Donald Toenniges; a special stepson Greg Desch; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Liz was preceded in death by her son John Smith, sister Mary Alford and stepbrother Frank Hagen.
She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to participate in all kinds of activities.
Liz was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church of Chillicothe where services will be held 12 pm Saturday, August 12, 2023 with Pastor Terry Yahr officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of service at the church on Saturday. She will be laid to rest in the Dayton National Cemetery, there will be no graveside service.View All Photos
