Ricky Ingram Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home - East Louisville on Jan. 14, 2026.
Ricky Lee Ingram, 68, went home to be with the Lord January 11, 2026 with the love of his life by his side.
Rick was born April 5, 1957 in Louisville, KY to Ballard and Janetta Ingram. Rick graduated from UofL Speed School in 1979. As a graduate of Speed School, Rick had a flourishing career in IT.
Rick married the love of his life, Christie, on April 12, 1980 in Louisville. They had two beautiful children Andrew (Sean) (43) and Ashley (34). Rick was an avid bowler, bowling with the same group of men for over 40 years. Rick also loved to sing and impersonate Elvis Presley; we believe he's already found Elvis and is singing in the angels choir together. In his spare time, Rick was a huge UofL Cardinals fan, he loved to golf and play cards with friends, where he was known as Ricky Bobby. Christie and Rick enjoyed a lifetime of travel together, sightseeing all over the world and making lasting memories. Rick loved to plan their trips and go on the greatest adventures.
Rick was a man of great faith who showed others what it is to walk with Christ. His love for the Lord will be passed on through generations. He faithfully led a Bible study in his home for over 20 years and enjoyed preparing his lessons. Some of his greatest and treasured friendship were formed during the Bible studies.
Rick is preceded in death by his mother, Janetta, and his father, Ballard. Rick is survived by his wife, Christie; his two children: Sean Ingram and Ashley (Israel Castillo); his granddaughter, Layla; and his sister, Cheryl (Mark Bowling).
Visitation will be from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243). Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Friday, January 16, 2026 at Chapel in the Woods (1407 Moser Road, Louisville, KY 40299). Burial will take place at Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, KY 40014).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31
