Ricky "Rick" Lauer

Ricky Lee "Rick" Lauer, age 60, of Elkhart Lake, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility.
He was born on August 11, 1964, son of the late Richard and Carol (Turba) Lauer. Rick attended grade school in Elkhart Lake and graduated from Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School in 1983.
On November 6, 2010, he married the love of his life, Linda Federer.
Rick had many jobs throughout the years, most recently he worked at Phoebe Products in Kiel, WI.
He enjoyed going for walks with his family and pets. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, motorcycling, and snowmobiling. Rick loved the outdoors; going to the family cabin, fishing, going to the lake with family, or taking care of his yard as well as neighbors looking help for their yards. He loved to help people and make others happy. But most of all, Rick loved spending time with his family and be Papa to his grandkids.
He is survived by: His sister, Lori (Roger) Bruggink of Plymouth; Brothers: Terry Lauer (special friend, Misty) of Elkhart Lake and Thomas (Kari) Lauer of St. Nazianz; Step Children: Amanda (Colin) Deeg and Josh (Missy) Bunge; Grandchildren: Tyler, Logan, Hailey, Brayden, Jakeb, Kaitlynn, Austin, and Ethan; Nephews: Mike (Jenny) Lauer and Mark (Sara) Bruggink; Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews: Gavin, Hayden, James, and Henry; Step Mother-in-law, Marge Federer; Brothers-in-law: Tom (Cheri) Federer and Donald (Dinah) Federer; Aunts: Rosemarie Lauer and Lillian (Roger) Brandt; As well as other relative and many friends.
Rick was preceded in death by: His wife, Linda; Parents: Richard and Carol; Father-in-law, John Federer; and Niece, Addison Lauer.
A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Rhine.
Memorials are suggested to the family in Rick's name.
