Ricky Eugene Sargent

Ricky Eugene Sargent, age 63, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away July 27, 2024 at Dickenson Community Hospital in Clintwood, Virginia. Born May 7, 1961 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Margaret Ann Sargent Helbert. Rick loved talking, joking and laughing with his friends and family, fishing and riding his scooter.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-dad, Larry Junior Helbert; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Bessie McFadden Sargent; his brother, Donald Lee Sargent; and one nephew, Christopher Alexander Bowman.
Survivors include his sister, Jennifer Bowman and husband, Rufus of Birchleaf, Virginia; aunts and uncles, Lucille and Gene Reynolds and Brenda Johnson; special cousin, Sharon VanDyke; special friends, Larry Robinson, Donna Street, Tonya Hess and Bonnie Hess; several additional cousins and special friends also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chasity Hayes, Destiny, Brooke, Anna, Tiffany, Nikki, Rita, Barbara, and the staff of Heritage Hall of Clintwood.
Graveside Memorial Services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Sargent Cemetery on Little River. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
