Riley Neil Grove

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and best friend. Riley Neil Grove, age 21, passed away on December 20, 2025 in Paris, Texas.
Riley was born May 6, 2004 in Fort Worth, TX to Kevin and Ellyn Grove. Though his time with us on earth was far too short, his great impact will be remembered through the many lives he touched and the work he was proud to do.
He was known for his infectious smile and laugh, kind soul and adventurous spirit. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and hiking, and had a keen eye for arrowhead hunting, building an impressive collection over the years.
Riley received his first welder for his 16th birthday and immediately began doing odd jobs in and around Lipan. He was never a fan of the spotlight, but he quietly excelled in everything he put his hands to. During high school, Riley spent his summers learning and working, welding anything made of pipe. Building custom fences, gates and barns was his specialty.
Upon graduation from Lipan High School in 2023, he soon headed out to Carlsbad, NM to begin pipeline welding. A year later, he came back home to Texas to continue welding on the pipeline.
Riley is survived by his parents, Kevin and Ellyn Grove of Lipan, TX, and sisters Landrey Grove, also of Lipan and Taylor Meyer and her husband, Montell Meyer, of Nash, OK. Riley was the proud uncle of Kreece Meyer and was looking forward to the arrival of a second nephew, Konley Meyer, due to arrive in April 2026. Riley is also survived by his grandmothers, Judy Rutledge (Nina) of Merkel, TX and Carolyn Grove (Meme) of Georgetown, TX along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gerald Rutledge (Papaw) and Gerald Grove (Papa).
Riley loved his family, friends, and hard work. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met! He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held at Lipan Cowboy Church December 31, 2025 at 1:00P.M.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Riley Grove Memorial Scholarship at First National Bank of Lipan.
