Rita A. D'Amour-Sabattus--Rita Amanda D'Amour, 91, of Sabattus has left this world to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2018. She had been fighting a very courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease for nearly 30 years. On July 2, 1951 she was married at Holy Family Church in Lewiston to the love of her life, Richard T. D'Amour. They went on to have three lovely daughters which Rita loved spending time with and with whom she was very devoted. Rita also loved her Pomeranian, Beau, and was known to take him along with her whenever possible. Early in life, Rita had worked at a shoe shop and also Pepperell Mill of Auburn. Later, she had been employed at Gypsum Paper of Lisbon Falls and Maine Electronics of Lisbon. In the 70's she stopped working in order to fully devote her time to raising her children. Rita is predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard D'Amour of Sabattus, daughter Joann Bennett of Buckfield, daughter Joline Moody of Sabattus, her brother Raymond Baril of Lewiston and a sister Theresa Baril of Lewiston. Rita is also survived by her brother Ralph and his wife Venise Baril of Lewiston along with many nieces and nephews from both the D'Amour and Baril families.
