Rita R. Dado, 90, formerly of Shenango Twp passed away the evening of June 18, 2025 at Quality Life Services of New Castle.
Rita was born in New Castle on July 5, 1934 to the late Carmine and Sabia (Calabrese) DeCesare.
On October 12, 1957, Rita married her beloved husband, Joseph Dado Sr. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2009.
Rita had been a clerk at June-Dels store. She also owned and operated The Sportsman's Lounge with her husband for many years.
Rita enjoyed many hobbies such as reading, gardening, bowling, cooking, and baking. Most important to her was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Joye Dailey (Robert); sons, John Dado (Lori) and Joe Dado (Denise); seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rita was preceded in death by her infant sister, Gemma DeCesare, sisters, Virginia DeCesare and Anne Micaletti; brothers, Mike and Frank DeCesare, and grandson Joseph Dado.
Family will receive visitors at Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 941 S. Mill St. on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m officiated by Rev. Richard Nero. Interment will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Quality Life Services of New Castle for the excellent care they provided to mom during her time there.
