Rita was born in Holyoke, MA on August 2, 1938. Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Boutin) Marciniak; predeceased by her husband John L. Dunlap, daughters Karen L. Dunlap, Julia M. (Dunlap) Slaybaugh, great granddaughter Lisa C. Slaybaugh and sister Mary A. Fagnant.
She is survived by her children John M. Dunlap (Joy) of Mechanicsville, MD, Linda A. Thompson of Murrells Inlet, SC, Mary B. Berringer (Bryan) of Pomfret, MD; brother Joseph Marciniak of Holyoke, MA, and 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Rita was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved to travel, play bingo with friends and fellowship with her Beach Church Senior Group from Beach Church, Myrtle Beach, SC. She worked alongside her husband and was instrumental in starting a camp for visually impaired adults at Camp Merrick in Nanjemoy, MD. She volunteered at the camp for 34 years.
Rita was loved by all. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.

Simply one of the best! Back in the day we would play golf til we lost all of our golfballs (usually in the middle of a hole), start laughing and say "Oh well, let´s go eat." She made everything fun. I will miss her.
