Born in Orange, NJ, on December 19, 1955, Rita was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Bonnie (Abbott) Jones, Sr.
She spent many years working in the meat department at Kings in Whitehouse Station, NJ, where her strong work ethic and warm personality were valued by coworkers and customers alike.
Rita had a zest for life that touched everyone who knew her. Adventurous and outgoing, she loved puzzles-especially jigsaws-and never passed up a good cup of coffee or a great conversation. Trips to Lancaster, PA, brought her joy, as did quiet evenings watching the Hallmark Channel. But more than anything, Rita cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her loving children: Amy Koeppel, Katie Koeppel (Jennifer), Jeffrey Cowan, and Richard Jones (Malorie); her cherished grandchildren: Shyanne Spell, Charlie Koeppel, Erin Koeppel, and Richard Jones, Jr.; and her adored great-granddaughter, Isabella Ward. Rita also leaves behind her siblings, Debbie Jones and Robert Jones. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard "Bones" Jones, whose memory she held close to her heart.
Rita's kind spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for her family will be remembered always.
