Rita Annette Lipham Knox, age 73, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Annette was born on March 20, 1952, in Abilene, Texas, to Leslie and Rita Lipham. On December 24, 1969, she married her lifelong partner, Tim Knox Sr. who preceded her in death in 2015.
Annette was the proud mother of four children: Tonya Lynn Knox, Melissa Annette Camarena and husband Leo, Jeannie Danielle Cox (who preceded her in death in 2016) and husband Richard, and Timothy Wayne Knox Jr. and wife Amanda. She was also a devoted and loving Grandmother and Aunt to many.
Family was at the very heart of Annette's life. She shared an especially close bond with her siblings-Donna Lipham Shortridge and husband Ronnie, Fred Lipham and Erica Morriss, Clifton Lipham and wife Michelle, Debra Lipham Cowsert and husband James, Curtis Lipham and wife Lisa, and Marty Lipham and wife Darla-and she treasured every moment spent with them. Whether traveling together or simply being in each other's presence, her love for her family was constant and unconditional.
Annette will be remembered for her nurturing heart, fierce loyalty, and strong will. Her home was always a welcoming place filled with laughter, warmth, and love. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. Annette could make 100 friends in a room of 100 strangers, leaving them all with a 'Talk to you soon Darlin'.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annette's memory to LPW, a 501-3C nonprofit organization benefiting veterans-a cause close to her heart and one she was actively involved with.
