Rita Gigliotti Liadka

Rita Gigliotti Liadka, age 92, passed away on March 8, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 17, 1930 in Cassville NY, a daughter of the late James H. and Gladys (Doran) Walsh.
Rita graduated from West Winfield Central School, and Crouse – Irving Hospital, Syracuse, where she earned her RN degree. She then attended Utica College and SUNY Oneonta receiving certification as a School Nurse Teacher and a BS degree in Health Education. Throughout the years, Rita was employed at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, Herkimer County BOCES, Mount Markham Central Schools, and Weight Watchers of Oneida County.
She was a past communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church in West Winfield, at St. Patrick's, in Forestport she served as Past President of Catholic Womens Club. Rita presently attended Church of Annunciation in Clark Mill's where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector.
Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Robert; sons, Rick Gigliotti and Joe (Kim) Gigliotti; daughters, Barbara Pollard, Becky (David) Griffiths, Ellen Marie Gigliotti; five special grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Kovac Ratcliffe, Eileen Edwards, Patricia Rasbach, and Sally VanNort; her loving grandson Christopher Pollard; and special family Holly Gigliotti, and Thomas Pollard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 13, 2023 at 12:00 o'clock PM at St. Joseph the Worker, 305 West Main St. West Winfield, NY, 13491. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Everyone is invited to join the family after the conclusion of the Mass at the New Hartford American Legion Post 1376, for a celebration of life.
