Kenneth DeBoer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc. - West Winfield on Jan. 3, 2026.
Kenneth DeBoer
West Winfield
Kenneth DeBoer, 70, went to meet his Savior on January 1st, 2026. He was born on September 29th, 1955, in Warwick, NY, to the late Clarence and Elsie (Falkena) DeBoer. Furthermore, he was married to Andrea (Van Wieren) DeBoer for 48 years.
Ken was an experienced farmer, a skilled excavator, and spent many years truck driving throughout the Northeast. He valued time with his family and took special joy in watching his nine cherished grandchildren grow. Some of his favorite moments were spent on the family farm, seeing his children - and later his grandchildren - enjoy riding wheelers and snowmobiles, with Ken always making sure the machines were ready to go. He was very talented in repairing or rebuilding almost anything.
Ken passed on an appreciation of farm life to his family. Raising livestock for 4-H projects with his children was a particular highlight, along with valuing country living and the blessings that come with it. His faith in Jesus Christ was central to his life, and he trusted fully, in what Christ accomplished on the cross for our salvation. Ken attended Christian Bible Church in Mohawk and before that Trinity Christian Reformed Church, Richfield Springs.
He is survived by his wife Andrea; their children, Amy (Jeremiah) Land of West Winfield, Sarah (Branden) Ward of Remsen, Julie (Henry) Howard of Hamilton, and Samuel (Megan) DeBoer of Sand Lake MI; by nine beautiful grandchildren - the joys of his life; sisters, Peggy Van Wieren and Heidi DeBoer.
Was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Wm and Alice Van Wieren; and his sister Nancy Zupruk.
Calling hours are Saturday, January 10th, from 12pm to 2pm at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc. 365 W Main St., West Winfield, NY 13491. A service will immediately follow calling hours at the funeral home.

What a beautiful way to honor him.....to extend an invitation to Salvation in Christ Jesus, through his obituary. Faith, family and farming. I'd say that he lived the sort of life that Christ welcomed him and said, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant."
