Renate Hauser Obituary
West Winfield
Renate Hauser, 89, of West Winfield, passed away on January 4, 2026 at home.
She was born on November 7, 1936 in Germany, the daughter of John and Berta (Stadel) Obermeier and was educated in both Germany and New York City Schools. On November 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Stefan Hauser in New York City and shared a blessed union of 59 years until his passing on October 6, 2015. Alongside her husband, together they owned and operated Hauser's Pork Store in Clifton, NJ for over 25 years until retiring and settling in West Winfield. Renate was a member of the Miller's Mills Community and member of the Winfield Chapter #418 OES.
Renate enjoyed to travel the world with her husband at least twice a year and managed to travel to 56 different countries and all the continents over the years. She had a passion for flowers and was a member of the West Winfield Garden Club. Renate was also an avid bird watcher.
Surviving are her niece, Karin Obermeier, CA; nephew, Ralph Obermeier, PA; sister-in-law, Mathilde DiLiberto and her children, Mathilde, Jimmy and Christine. She was predeceased by a brother, John Obermeier and brother-in-law, Jimmy DiLiberto.
Tammy Lincourt wishes to extend her gratitude to Renate's girls, Hannah Christian and Brittany Lincourt and Hospice & Palliative Care, especially her nurse, Tianna as well as family friends, Sophia, Adolf and Mante Loomis for all their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Sunday from 12-1 pm at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 365 West Winfield, NY. Funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visitation. Burial will be in in the spring at Miller's Mills Cemetery.
