Rita M. (LeClair) Manco, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was the dedicated wife of the late Walter M. Manco "Poppy" for over 50 beautiful years. Born in Providence, Rita was the daughter of the late Deus LeClair and Laura (Cormier) LeClair. She is survived by her loving children Richard Manco (Sonia), Carl Manco (Martha), Gail Mullen (Jay) and Donna Lawton; her beloved grandchildren Laura Warren, Angela Lawton, Shaun Mullen, Jason Mullen, Matthew Manco, Nicholas Manco and Connor Manco; her dear great-grandchildren Charlie, Nathan, Cataleya and Pierson; and by her sister Dolores Dionne. Rita is predeceased by her siblings Edward LeClair, Deus LeClair, Bernadette Taul and Joan Kittila.
Rita was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, whose pride in her family knew no bounds. She was renowned for the delicious meals she lovingly prepared-each one a reflection of the deep care she had for those she held dearest. For over 20 years, Rita served with dedication at the Warwick Health Care Center, where she took great pride in caring for others and supporting her community. Above all, Rita cherished her family, who will forever hold her in their hearts and miss her deeply. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at both Sunny View Nursing Home and Eden Hospice for all they did to care for Rita.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Her funeral service will be held the following morning, July 16, at 10:00am in the Funeral Home. Rita's burial and committal prayer service will take place in the Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter, where she will be reunited with her husband.
