Rita Francis Mason

Spartanburg, SC – Rita F. Mason went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2023. Rita was the daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes Laxton and the loving wife of the late Richard Mason.
Born in Union, SC, Rita was one of five children. Rita loved her Lord and was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. She loved to read her Bible and spend time with the Lord. She also loved to go thrift shopping, gardening, and baking; most of all, she loved her cats and her great grandchildren. Rita will be truly missed.
Rita is survived by her grandchildren, Brent Harmon (Joanne), John Harmon; and many others that were very loved; her great grandchildren, Robin who is 2 and Gabriella who is 5; her sisters, Gail Johnson and Faye; her bonus children, Carol Martin (Chris), Leigh Ringer (Cecil), Julie Goley (Rick), and Rick Mason (Janet); her bonus grandchildren, Mary Hope Martin, Walker Martin, Harrison Martin, Thomas Goley, and Meredith Street (Austin); her bonus great grandchild, Marlowe Street; as well as her cats, Chez, Sassy, Bella, and Julie.
She is preceded in death by her sons, Randy Harmon, Bobby Dean Harmon, and Jerry Harmon; her sister, Joy Tyler; and her brothers, Ray and Kent Laxton.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jason Read will officiate.
