Rita leaves behind her partner; John Wakefield, daughters; Amy (John) Lowe, Chrissy (Brian) Thomas and Heather (Howard) Koontz, son; Melvin Green, granddaughter; Chyanne (Brandon) Lucas, whom she helped raise along with 10 other grandchildren, sisters; Donna Gannon, Sue Fiske, Patricia Hershey and Helen O'Donnell, brothers; Irving Gannon and Rufus Gannon.
Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by a brother; Joseph Gannon.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories of Rita and condolences to her family may be shared by visiting www.pepperfuneralhomes.com
