Rita Jean Monninger

Williamsport, MD – Rita Jean Monninger, 75, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at her home.
She was born on February 24, 1950, in Uniontown, PA to the late Grover Dawson and Evalyn Schimansky Bryson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Arthur Monninger, Jr. on January 13, 2020. They were married for 34 years.
Rita was a 1968 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
She was employed by Hagerstown Bookbinding and Printing in Hagerstown, MD until her retirement in 2009.
She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church.
Rita loved shopping, going out to eat with her friends, spending time with family, baking, and going to the beach. She used to also love going on bus trips and going to craft shows.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Shannon Ray Kehne and her companion Doug; nieces Stacey Dudley (Eric) and Shelley Saber (Tim); numerous other nieces and nephews; step grandchildren Brooke R. Keplinger and Julia N. Kehne; special friends Pat and Nancy; her pet bird Sam.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Joyce E. Gahagen, brother Fred D. Bryson, and sister-in-law Cassie Griffith.
A memorial service will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10:00 am with Kevin Smoot officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
