Rita Neverman

Rita Neverman, 84, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, surrounded by her family at her residence.
Rita (Bubbles) was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the heart of her life. She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength and her ability to always put her family first.
In her younger years, Rita worked as an administrative assistant at the telephone company and a
pharmaceutical company for many years. As her career progressed, she took on additional administrative roles at several banks, including Citibank, where she was both a valued and respected employee.
Rita had a true passion for cooking, especially when it meant gathering her family around the table. Pasta, meatballs, and marinara were always her most requested meals. In her later years, she found new joys in knitting, puzzles and taste testing new foods- a true foodie at heart. Rita also had a competitive spirit, always up for a game of Upwords or cards. Her love, generosity and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, and she will be deeply missed by all who are lucky enough to know her. Preceded in death by her parents, Francesco and Vincenza Cioffari; her sisters, Frances Manley and Virginia Steck; her brother, Danny Cioffari; and her grandson, Zachary Drake, she is survived by her daughters, Valerie (Ed) Ryan and Joanne (Jim) Drake; her son, Fredrick (Tina) Neverman, Jr; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and her sister Lucy Kloker.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Words of Remembrance to begin at 1:00 p.m.
Cremation will be private
