Rita Pearce

Rita Pearce, age 57, of Edgewood, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 12th at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. At the time of her passing, she was in the presence of many family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Christopher Pearce of Edgewood in February of 2023. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kevin Pearce of Edgewood; twin sons Michael and Matthew Pearce of Edgewood; father Mike Tafoya and mother Sadie Tafoya of Sandia Park; brother Michael Tafoya and his wife Cindy Tafoya of Albuquerque; sister Elizabeth Danner and her husband Richard Danner of Edgewood; sister Connie Keyohara and her husband Price Keyohara of Moriarty; sister Renee Tafoya of Santa Fe; sister Marie Martinez and her husband Tim Martinez of Velarde; and many additional extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19th at 11:30 am at Crossroads Bible Fellowship in Moriarty, followed by a brief burial service at 1:30 pm at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque. A reception will follow the burial service at the home of her brother, Michael Tafoya.
