Rita was born May 28, 1936, in Sleepy Eye, MN to parents Reinhold and Appolonia (Halla) Neid. She was a graduate of Sleepy Eye St. Mary's High School. She graduated college from Mankato State with a degree in Teaching and then received her Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Hamline University.
She married the love of her life, John Rosseth in 1964. They both spent their careers as teachers in the Bloomington School District.
Rita was an avid golfer, bridge player, loved to entertain, world traveler and exercise enthusiast. She built many of her lifelong friendships through these activities.
As much as she loved these activities, spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren (Mike, Leila, Kylie, Katelyn, Lexi and Nick) was her biggest joy. She loved attending her grandchildren's games and recitals, going on vacations together and always opening her house up to holiday celebrations.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John along with her infant son, Patrick. She is survived by her children Pam (Hirsch) and Jeff (Rosseth). Son in law Steve (Hirsch) Daughter in law Janet (Rosseth) and Grandchildren. Sisters Elaine (Bellacicco), Linda (Bertrand) and Brother Larry (Neid). As well as her step siblings Pat (Reynolds), Rosie (Lemke), Eddie (Reynolds). She is preceded in death by her brother Marty (Neid), Stepfather Jack (Reynolds) and stepsister Mary Ellen (Grady) and her parents Reinhold (Neid) and Appolonia (Halla).
Memorials are being given to the "Education Foundation of Bloomington" in memory of Rita Rosseth.
Rita will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, caring heart, patience, generosity and love of family and friends. We Love you!
