Rita Stalker (Rivetti), 70, of Rancho Cordova, CA, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, after years of fighting multiple cancers including Leukemia.Born February 5, 1955, in Van Nuys, CA, Rita was the daughter of James and Irene Rivetti (Sgambati). She worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District for 33 years, serving most of her career as a contract negotiator. Upon retirement, she enjoyed working at the local public library and spending many afternoons with her grandkids. She loved puzzles and Lego, often combining the activities with her love for Disney, travel, and baseball. Her latest project would often be spread across the dining table. Those who knew Rita, know she was always festive. She was always ready to celebrate in her homemade holiday attire and decorated her front porch for every season and occasion. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity and caring nature. Rita is survived by her sons Christopher Arpad and Tyler Stalker; grandchildren Peyton, Beckham, and Oliver; sister Gilda Boswell, and Evie, her tabby cat.Her parents, sisters Norma and Esther, and brother Francis preceded her in death. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at the American River Grange (2720 Kilgore Rd) in Rancho Cordova. Snacks & refreshments will be available.
