Rita SueLynn Valentine, 53, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, passed away on October 5, 2025. Born on March 9, 1972, in New Albany, Mississippi, Rita was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Rita will be remembered by her family as a "Rebel with a Heart of Gold." She had a passion for gardening and took great joy in caring for her plants, as well as a deep love for her 13 grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her children, Jason Gullick (Tiffany), Joshua Bolen, and Brandie Valentine; her special nephew, Cody Gullick; her brother, James Gullick (Windy); her sister, Kathy Brinkley (Brian); her longtime Boyfriend Quinn Putt and her 13 cherished grandchildren. Rita's love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A memorial service honoring Rita's life will be held at Grace Pointe Church of God in New Albany, MS on October 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Prior to the memorial service, a public viewing will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. 

Rita SueLynn Valentine will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Rita was preceded in death by her parents: Clinton Franklin Gullick and Barbara Tidwell Gullick.
