Ritchie Lee Chafton passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 22, 1971.
Ritchie spent the vast majority of his life working for Royal Floor Covering and raising his family. He loved spending time laughing with good people, eating good food, and being with his children. Throughout his life, he had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, candle making, painting, and even leather working. Beyond all things, he loved his lord and savior, Jesus Christ and his family. To his children and loved ones, he never went to sleep without saying "I love you, sweet dreams, and don't forget to pray." He will be sorely missed. From his children, "we love you Daddy, sweet dreams, and don't forget to pray."
Ritchie is preceded in death by his stepmother, Betty L. Chafton; stepfather, Joseph G. Howard; grandparents, Elsie Chafton, Charles Chafton, Violet Cranford, Linvel Cranford.
He is survived by his parents, Douglas Lee Chafton and Melva Jean Howard (Cranford); Four beautiful children, Erica, Cheyenne, Cole, and Gracie Chafton; Brother, Robert Lee Chafton (Laura), stepbrother, Gregory Breeding (Lanie); stepsisters, Gwen Thomas, and Melanie Breeding; mother of his children, Jamie Beth; granddog, Missy and grandcats, Rylee, Mowgli, Lily, Julie and Astro; along with a host of family and friends who all love him and will miss him tremendously
Ritchie's celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home with Pastor George Vincent officiating. He will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Park following his services.
