William Eldon Chafton, born on September 24, 1969, passed away on September 4, 2025. He lived a life full of passion for sports and the great outdoors.
A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, William found exhilaration in the thrill of football and racing, particularly enjoying NASCAR and the Indy 500. William also delighted in the tranquility of nature. He enjoyed fishing and walking along wooded, scenic trails with his family. Card games, especially euchre provided him with opportunities to connect and share laughter with loved ones.
He will be remembered fondly by his son, Micheal T. Chafton; daughter, Britney M. Chafton; son, Austin M. Chafton; mother, Mary Jo Chafton; sister, Tersia Taylor; and grandson, Levi Chafton.
Services in his honor will be at 1pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a visitation starting at noon.
