In Loving Memory of Robbie J. Raines-
Albertville, Alabama - Robbie J. Raines, age 98, of Albertville, Alabama, peacefully passed away on January 29, 2024, at her home surrounded by her cherished friends and family. She was born on February 6, 1925, to the late Adious and Pluma Johnson.
Robbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was a testament to compassion, nurturing, and selflessness. She dedicated herself to caring for those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. During World War II, Robbie served as a nurse for the United States Navy, exemplifying her commitment to the well-being of others. Her dedication to serving her country inspired her great granddaughter to follow in her footsteps and become a nurse as well. In addition to her service, Robbie found joy in the kitchen, where she lovingly prepared meals for her family, ensuring that everyone had their favorite dish. Her culinary talents were just one expression of her deep love for those she held dear. A devoted Alabama football fan, Robbie spent many enjoyable hours cheering on her favorite team.
A Christian woman of faith, Robbie found solace and joy in attending church with her family. Her steadfast belief in the Lord was a guiding force throughout her life. Unafraid of death, she embraced the inevitability, having lived a long and fulfilling life and giving her soul to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Robbie is survived by her daughter, Anne Raines Frazier; granddaughter, Elizabeth Frazier Peterson; great-granddaughter, Lauren Jolynn Peterson; sister-in-law, Julia Hawk Raines; nieces, Karla Johnson Irons and Donna Mitchell Storm (Dave); nephew, Douglas Storm. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kyle Raines; brother, Guy Johnson; sister, Bennie Johnson Mitchell; brother-in-law, Grover Dean Raines; nephew, Steve Mitchell; niece, Jolynn Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral, with Bro. Jerry McCright and Bro. Shannon McCauley officiating. Pallbearers assisting Robbie to her final resting place at Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery will include; Shannon McCauley, John Martin, Jeff Terrell, TJ Terrell, Larry Kirby and Gary Waldrep; honorary pallbearers, Robert Johnson and Lloyd Johnson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
Robbie J. Raines leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith. She will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Robbie is a 2nd cousin but I´ve shared contact with her most of my life from childhood. I admired Robbie for her wonderful wit. She could tell some of the funniest stories (all true) she was involved in. We would laugh until our sides hurt at those stories. Robbie used to bring her mom, aunt Pluma, to Tennessee to visit my grandmother, her mom´s sister, Jannie Kuykendall Amason. I always looked forward to those visit. We would also go to Albertville to visit aunt Pluma and Robbie and her family. Those visits were full of laughter and stories from the past. I treasure the memories of those visits and those stories. I´m thankful for Robbie and the caring, serving life she always led. She is a true hero. Go with God, Robbie, I´ll see you again someday.
