Terri (Ambrose) Raines, 53, of Salado passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends at her home in Salado after a bravely fought five-year battle with cancer.
A Funeral Mass for Terri will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple, Texas with Father John Guzaldo officiating.
Terri was born on March 2, 1972 in Temple, Texas to Ronald and Stephanie (Smith) Ambrose. Terri was raised in Morgan’s Point Resort and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School then graduated from Belton High School in 1990 where she was active in track and volleyball. After high school, Terri embarked on her lifelong career as a hairstylist and became a business owner when she and her sister, Bonnie, opened Main Street Sass Salon in Salado in 2018. Mrs. Raines married Eric Raines on July 12, 1996, in Temple, Texas and they were blessed with 29 years before her passing. Terri was the proud mom of her two sons, Benjamin and Bryan.
Terri was preceded in death by her mother Stephanie Ambrose. She is survived by her loving husband Eric Raines of Salado; sons Benjamin of Lubbock and Bryan of Salado; Father Ronald Ambrose of Temple; brother Billy Ambrose and his wife Karrie of Houston with niece Emma and nephew Jackson, and sister Bonnie Landon and her husband Casey of Salado with nephews Brodie and Beckett.
Terri was a light of strength and faith for all of those around her. Her impact was felt far beyond the stylist chair – she was a therapist, friend, prayer warrior, and confidant. A visit to her salon was “a monthly rejuvenation for the soul” to many. She lived her life by always paying it forward, never expecting something in return. She was strong, humorous, faithful, boisterous, and magnetic, with just the right amount of mischievous. She lived life to the fullest – no regrets, no excuses.
“Having faith does not mean having no difficulties, but having the strength to face them, knowing we are not alone” ~ Pope Francis
A visitation for Terri will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM with Deacon Robert Lindberg officiating.
