Robert Wade Adams

Robert Wade Adams, age 81, of Manila, passed from this life Monday, September 29, 2025 at his home. Son of the late Nelson Wade and Mattie Ruth Regan Adams, he was born in Blytheville and raised in Manila. He was a graduate of Manila High School and was a longtime Manila resident. He farmed for most of his life and was a member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed hunting, carpentry, cooking out, and working in the shop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, George Adams, Paul David Adams, and Harry Adams; and 1 son, Eddie Wade Adams.

His wife of 40 years, Thelma Adams, of the home

3 sons, Tommy Lynn Adams (Cindy) of Benton, Bobby Wayne Slankerd (Christina) of Caraway, and Charles Perry (Shynda) of Manila

1 daughter, Sharon Moody (Carlous) of Mountain View

1 brother, Jimmy Adams (Connie) of Manila

Robert also leaves 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
