Mr. Robert Alday, age 79, of Jakin, GA, passed away Friday morning, August 29, 2025, at Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Alday will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Isaac Averitt, Stanley Allday, Brandon Allday, Jeremy Pritchett, Tommy Sheffield, and Bobby McMillian serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Alday and Jayden Lee Allday. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM at the church.

Mr. Alday was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 28, 1946, to John Frank Alday and Fosteen Moore Alday.  He was a cabinet maker, having worked with Hall Cabinet.  Mr. Alday enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.  He loved his dogs and his bird.  Mr. Alday was always ready and eager to strike up a conversation about his grandkids and great grandkids.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Michael Allday (Christina Lewis) and Melvin Ray Alday; his grandsons, Stanley Michael “Monk” Allday (Royall) and Brandon Lee Allday; as well as his great grandchildren, Shannon Michelle Allday, Jayden Lee Allday, Draven Oliver Allday, Everly SueAnne Allday, and Evan Allday.

Mr. Alday was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank Alday and Fosteen Moore Alday; his brothers, Harvey Alday, Billy Alday, Truitt Alday, and Donnie Alday; his sisters, Shirley Hanks, Eloise Beaudry, and Marie Avrett; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
