Robert Ansell Obituary
Born on November 19, 1935 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late James Carl Ansell and Martha Estelle Ansell. Robert served in the U. S. Air Force until he was Honorably Discharged in 1962 at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then served as a Police Officer with the U. S. Capitol Police with over 26 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Frances Ansell; brother David C. Ansell, and daughter-in-law Elesa Ansell.
Robert is survived by his wife Audrey L. Ansell; daughter Renee M. Walker and her husband Brent; sons Robert F. Ansell Jr., Ronald S. Ansell, Richard Ansell and his wife Tanya, Mitchell Miller, Kenneth Miller, and David Miller; brother Harry J. Ansell; sister-in-law Anna Ansell, and ten grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 11AM until time of Funeral Service at 1PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
Interment will take place at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623.
Pallbearers are Robert Ansell Jr., Richard Ansell, Ronald Ansell, Robert Ansell III, Alex Ansell, and Chad Ansell.
Memorial contributions in Robert's name, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
(Memorial and Honor Program), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or online at www.stjude.org.
