WAREHAM – Robert G. Austin, 81, of Wareham, passed away on August 6, 2025, at home while surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Alice L. (Quimby) Austin. They were married for 58 years. He was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Farrell) Austin.

He was born in Weymouth and lived in Wareham for 53 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Austin worked as a truck driver for D'Angelo's Warehouse for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and bicycle, sailing, and gardening. He was active with the Veteran's Administration and a member of the D.A.V. He traveled to Israel twice and was baptized in the Jordan River. He enjoyed reading the Bible.

Survivors include his wife, Alice L. (Quimby) Austin; 2 sons, Ronald Austin and Richard Austin and his wife, Bobbie all of Wareham; a daughter, Robin Austin of Wareham; a brother, Brian Austin of NC; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 8 nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, James Austin and his wife Joanne and Patricia Galvin and her husband, George.
