WAREHAM – Rebecca Andrews, 71, of Wareham, passed away on August 3, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. She was the daughter of the late Everett Antone and Irene (Lopes) Andrews.

She was born in Wareham and lived there her whole life. She graduated from Wareham High School, class of 1972.

Rebecca worked as an administrative assistant for the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay for many years before retiring. Later, she worked as a monitor at Bournedale Elementary School.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren at Christmas time. She enjoyed walking, gardening, bird watching, cooking and traveling. She also had the opportunity to travel with the Maritime Academy aboard the training ship during several Sea Terms.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherron Theodore of New Bedford; her sisters, Carole Silva of Wareham, Elaine Almeida of FL, and Renee Fernandes of Buzzards Bay; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Theodore and Gabrielle Theodore; several nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late Maryann Andrews and Everett Andrews.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Her funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham.

Donations in her memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Fl., Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
