The Bacots,

I never got to ever meet him in person as I live in the far northern part of the state in the Blue Ridge Mountains, but I felt as if I had known him for all my life. Bob was very supportive and concerned in that he wanted to help all the kids that played football in South Carolina. I know he was responsible for getting scholarships for many poor kids that previously had no chance of ever getting an education. We will all miss him.

I realize this is an online site but i just wanted to say that Bob was truly an amazing person. He took a lot of hard hits in life but somehow found a way to bounce back from each one. Personally, i will always be in debt to Bob as he helped me so much in getting into college and playing college football. I will always remember Bob for his wit and humor and his uncanny ability to say things that would make you think... wow, this guy is really sharp. My best wishes, thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Bacot, Andy, Ben, Toby and Bo.. you guys stay strong and remember that Bob would rather you remember the good times and laugh rather than grieve.
