Robert Paul Bailey

Bob Bailey, 70, of West Haven, entered into rest on October 31, 2022. He was the son of the late James and Jennie Bailey. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy O'Connell Bailey, who died in 2021. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family which includes his daughter Carrie (Liam) McGowan, son Sean (Ashley) Bailey, five grandchildren Trey and Emmyt Bailey, Patrick, Nolan and Daire McGowan, sisters Marilyn (Jack) Austin, Sue (Carl) Battinelli and sister-in-law Marta Bailey. He was predeceased by his brothers James Bailey and John Winslow.Upon discharge from his Navy duties, Bob began a lengthy career in telecommunications with SNET. Following SNET, he worked as a project manager for various telecommunication companies. Bob loved spending time at his house in Maine, walking at the beach, fishing, playing cards, and traveling.Visitation will take place on Monday, November 7 from 3 to 6 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home. In the spirit of all things Bob, please wear a Hawaiian shirt in his honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Special Olympics of CT. or to Make-a-Wish, CT.
