Robert Randall Barnes

Robert Randall “Randy” Barnes, 62, of Carlisle, Arkansas, passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.  Randy was born June 3, 1961, in Monticello, Arkansas to Robert E. and Rosie M. Baker Barnes.  

Randy served 21 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard.  He worked for Riviana Foods in Carlisle for 21 years.  He was a pastor of Mayflower New Beginnings PCG Church in Mayflower, Arkansas for 8 years.  Robert enjoyed working at the PCG church camps with the youth.  He had such a big heart for encouraging them to live for the Lord and to do what God has called them to do.  Randy will be truly missed by so many.  He finally got his “perfect healing.”

He is proceeded in death by his first wife of 33 years. Karen Barnes.  He is survived by his second wife, Candy Barnes; both parents, Robert and Rosie Barnes; 2 brothers, David (Sharon) Barnes, Marl (Beverly) Barnes; 1 sister, LaDeana (Charlie) Biddle; 3 children, Stephen (Shannon) Barnes, Randi (Lance) Napier, MaKayla Barnes; 6 grandchildren, James, William (Brittney) and Courtney Barnes, Erin and Caden Napier, Stormie Robinson; 2 great grandchildren, Cara Barnes and Bentley Crowder.  

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, April 5, 2024 at Boyd.  The funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Old Carlisle Cemetery.
