It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Robert Kenneth Barton, who left us too soon on December 23, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida, the city where he was born on April 25, 1993, and raised. Robert was known for his adventurous spirit and sociable nature, leaving a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to cross his path.
A passionate motorcyclist, Robert found joy in both working on cars and bikes, often losing track of time in his projects. His hands were as skilled as his heart was open, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. Friends and family will remember him not just for his talents, but for the warmth and camaraderie he brought to every gathering.
Robert's beloved children, Robert James and Kayla, were the light of his life. Their laughter and joy fueled his adventurous pursuits, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by their mother, Bethany White, who remains a crucial part of their lives. His loving mother, Grace Moriya Barton, and his nurturing grandmother, Alli Kanto.
Robert's siblings, Morgan Tussinger, Brianna Barton, Caylee Cone, and Emma Cone, will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. Each sibling shared a unique bond with Robert, filled with countless stories of shared adventures, mischievous antics, and the unbreakable ties of family.
He is also survived by his girlfriend, Dixie Leo-Gray, whose love and companionship brought him immense happiness. His aunt, Gloria Girouard, and her son Valen Leach and aunts Corinia Johnson and Patricia Purvis; his grandmother, Grandmother Linda; and his cousin Caleb Wood will remember Robert's laughter and vibrant personality, as he was a beloved member of their extended family.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Barton, Jr.
As we reflect on Robert's life, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives—a genuine and adventurous spirit who lived each day fully. In honoring his memory, let us hold tight to our loved ones and live life to the fullest, just as Robert would have wanted.
A Celebration of his life will be held at the chapel of Archer-Milton Funeral Home on Saturday, March 29th, starting at 12:00 P.M. with visitation starting at 11:00 A.M., one hour before. The family has invited all friends to join them at Butler Lake following the service for fellowship and a meal.
The staff of Archer-Milton is honored to take care of the Barton family at this time.
