Robert Birkett Obituary
Robert Harry Birkett, age 98, of Lincoln died January 15, 2026. He married Marjorie Eileen Humann on August 22, 1947 (were married 73 years). He loved being a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his Jersey cows was a dairy farmer for 25 years. CAT operator for 10 years. Over the road truck driver for 10 years. Loved football, "especially" Nebraska football. Was a very giving person.
He is survived by his sons, James, Larry, Bobby and Michael, grandsons and spouses, granddaughters and spouses, great-grandkids and many friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; parents, Harry and Martha Birkett; brothers, George, Gene and Jack; sisters, Edna, Betty and Jeanette; and parents-in-law, Albert and Majorie Humann.
Services: Rosary Thursday, 7 p.m., Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home 4040 A Street.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, 10:30, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1940 South 77th Street.
Memorials: Tabitha Hospice in lieu of flowers.
