Robert “Bob” “Bootzy” Gerard Rudroff, age 63, of Rich Fountain, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his residence.

Bob was born on May 9, 1961, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Albert “Bert” Rudroff and Helen (Grellner) Rudroff, who survives in Rich Fountain.

Bob attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Rich Fountain and was a 1979 graduate of Fatima High School.

Bob was employed at Play-Mor Trailers in Westphalia for over 40 years until his retirement in March of this year.

Bob was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed gardening, being in the kitchen, fishing, and hunting on the family farm and passing on his passion to his nieces and nephews. He shared his baking and cooking with many people.  He was very precise in his cooking, and he would critique his recipes until they were perfect.  He loved to acquire the latest gadgets.  In his younger years, he enjoyed going to car shows.

Bob was best known for calling and checking in with his nieces and nephews to see how they were and to be the first in the know.   He also enjoyed his morning visits at the coffee shop and visiting with his buddies.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.   He never met a stranger and went out of his way to help others, no matter how small or large the request.

In addition to his loving mother, Bob is survived by his siblings, Pat (David) Ward of Jefferson City, Kathy (Kary) Wolfe of Linn, Frank Rudroff of Rich Fountain, Jo Ann Rudroff of Rich Fountain, Jackie McCoy of Jefferson City, Janet (Nick) Farris of Jefferson City, and Mary (Nathan) Kempker of Jefferson City; a brother-in-law, Jim Janson of Moberly. Bob treasured his nine nieces and nephews, Kariann (Rich) Dryer, Kristopher (Theresa) Wolfe, Korey (Monica) Wolfe, Seth (Michele) Rudroff, Megan (Elliott) Ambrose, Katlyn (Judson) Everts, Anna (Zeph) McDaniel, Ian Kilgore, and his godchild, Haley (Riley Hulse) Kempker; fifteen great nieces and nephews, Grace, Annalise and Nathanael Dryer, Lucas, Mackenzie and Daniel Wolfe, Mason, Hope, Joshua, and William Wolfe, Lane and Caleb Rudroff, and Jack, Owen and Charlie Ambrose, along with many friends.

In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Janson and a brother-in-law, Jim McCoy.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Colin Franklin as the Celebrant.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
