Robert “Bob” Grimm, 81 of Newburgh, IN passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Linda E. White Hospice House following a battle with cancer. He was born on October 13, 1942, in Evansville, IN to the late Charles Edward Grimm and Viola “Ruth” (Frick) Allen. He was preceded in death by his loving stepfather Gilbert Valentine Allen.
Bob built homes and owned an excavation company. He previously owned the Greater Evansville Raceway in Chandler. His passions included racing, classic cars, motorcycles, and his grandkids. Known as a jokester, he never missed an opportunity to pull a good prank.
He is survived by his son, Robert Grimm, daughters, Kristina Grimm, Lara Owens (Ken), grandchildren, Grace Grimm, Jonathan Grimm, Faith Higgs, brother, Bert Grimm (Suzi), and niece, Kelle Grimm.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM. – 2:00 PM. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN 47630 (812) 853-8314. His wish was to be cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Rescue Mission, 500 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713.
