Robert “Bob” Charles Huck, age 71, died on Friday, January 3rd at Aurora Zilber Hospice Facility from a year-long battle with Glioblastoma. Robert was born on May 11, 1953 in Mondovi, WI to Harold and Mary Jane Huck.
Bob graduated from high school in Milwaukee and began his career at Amtrak where he worked for 40 years, meeting many great friends that turned into family. During his early years at Amtrak he met the love of his life, Donna. They later married on October 10, 1981 in LaCrosse, WI. Together they welcomed two daughters, Melissa (Bohringer) and Lindsey (Sharman), and raised their family in Waukesha.
Bob loved being a husband, father and most of all, a Papa. He enjoyed going fishing, listening to music, cooking, baking, traveling, cheering on the Packers, and attending his grandchildren’s sports and loved going to live concerts. He especially loved his Lord and Savior and enjoyed being a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church where he helped cook meals for the homeless shelter and met many great friends.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Donna, his daughters Melissa (Gary) Bohringer and Lindsey (John) Sharman. Along with his grandchildren Evelyn and Elliot Sharman, Gideon, Noah, Brayden, Hadassah and Jude Bohringer. His brother Warren (Diane) Huck, sister-in-law Darlene Huck, along with many wonderful sister and brother in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and special friends.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, Harold and Mary Jane Huck, mother and father-in-law Mary Ann and Murlin Skaar, his infant brother Russell Huck, brother Bill Huck and granddaughter Eden Sharman.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported Bob and our family during his battle with Glioblastoma. A special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Connelly, the nursing staff at Froedtert Neuro Oncology “his Froedtert angels,” the staff at Froedtert Rehab and Aurora Zilber Hospice. As Bob always said, “There’s no directions on a custard container that say you can’t eat it in the morning!” Live your life and enjoy every moment to the fullest, just like Bob did.
Another celebration of life will be held at a later date, in honor of Bob, at the Strain for the Brain walk on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Strain for the Brain is an annual event held to honor individuals diagnosed with a brain tumor and to celebrate the family and friends there to honor them as well as raise money for brain cancer research. Afterwards, there will be a cookout to follow at our house in Waukesha.
