Robert "Bob" Kirk Monette

Robert "Bob" Monette. August 9th, 1962 – July 17th, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob Monette, age 62 of Hudson, Wisconsin. He passed away on July 17th surrounded by his family.

Bob was born on August 9th, 1962 to Ron and Corinne Monette. He grew up in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and spent his childhood working and playing at the family resort, Shinako. After graduating from University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, Bob dedicated 35 years of his professional life working for 3M, working across divisions and regions, including four years spent in Singapore. 

More important than his career, Bob was a devoted father, husband, brother, son, and friend. He was known to those closest to him for his sense of humor and his unwavering support of those he loved. He always said that his family was his greatest achievement. 

He was a lifelong Badger and Packer fan and loved hunting, fishing, playing cards, and any opportunity to tell stories when gathered with his family. 

He is survived by Cheri, his loving wife of 34 years; his children Sarah, Matt, and Megan (Adam); his father, Ron; siblings Kim, Ed (Judy), and Jeff; and many others who were touched by his life. He is preceded in death by his mother, Corinne. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st at 4:00-7:00 PM at O’Connell Funeral Home and for one hour before the funeral service which is on Saturday, August 2nd at 11:00 AM at Bethel Highlands. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Salvation Army Grace Place in New Richmond, WI or American Cancer Society in Bob’s memory.
