Robert R. Moritz, known affectionately as Bob to his loved ones and friends, passed away in Indianapolis on May 23, 2024. He was born on May 11, 1939, in Stockholm, Sweden. Bob led a fulfilling life as an Engineer at Rolls Royce for many years, where his dedication and passion shone.
Bob was kind and welcoming; He was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a man of integrity, always fair in his dealings and carried strong faith that guided him throughout his life.
One of the memories we can share about Bob, was his love for spending time with family. His presence lit up the room, and he made sure to create precious moments with his loved ones that will be treasured forever.
Bob's legacy lives on through his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacquelyn Thornton Mortiz; and his 7 children - James "Jim" Moritz, Mark Moritz (Brenda), Kym Farrow, Susan Babb (Mickey), Peter "Pete" Moritz (Emma), Thomas "TJ" Moritz, James "Bo" Farrow (Tina); along with 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A visitation to honor Bob's life will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Common Ground Christian Church West, 5429 Lafayette Rd Indianapolis, IN 46254. This will be followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.
Let us remember him for the love he shared, the wisdom he imparted, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
