Robert (Bob) Renkiewicz passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, following a short illness. His beloved wife was at his side.
Bob was born on December 14,1965, in Gaylord, Michigan. He was the son of Regina (Smolarz) and Anthony Renkiewicz. Bob was raised on the family farm on Murner Road, one of ten children. Bob was a 1984 graduate of Gaylord High School and was proud of his accomplishments on both the wrestling mat and football field.
On October 8, 2011, he married Theresa (Tracy) Loviska. They enjoyed traveling, hosting family and friends, and outdoor activities. He worked on the farm for his entire life. He loved the land, his Farmall tractor, and the smell of fresh dirt on a spring day. He proudly taught his “downstate” wife to throw hay and drive a tractor.
Bob worked at Wickes/Builders First Source Lumber Yard for almost 40 years. His coworkers were also lifelong friends. Bob was proud of his Polish heritage and of his Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary Cathedral Parish.
Bob is survived by his wife Tracy and son Shane. He is also survived by his siblings: Albert, Lawrence (Carol), Arnold (Janet), Neal (Myken), Christopher (Gale), Phillip (Taffy), and Brian; in-laws: Kathy Renkiewicz, Amy and Bernd Stier, Carol Loviska; and his dear friends. He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews and many others who knew him as “Uncle Bob.” Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his infant sister Charlene, his brother Ivan, and sister Harriet.
